I figured that now that I have so many interesting things to talk about that it was time I put up a personal web page (I've put up a few others, but not one about me).

First off, I'm a computer programmer / web designer by profession. My background is in Art & Architecture (with a hint of Engineering & Physics). I have dabbled in many different aspects of academia in the last 5 years but haven't done enough of one thing to earn a degree yet.

Due to the fact I enjoy all the varieties of life, I has amassed quite a number of hobbies.

On the artistic side, I enjoy:
Computer Graphics From Web Graphics to complete 3-D models of houses
Painting Mostly lead figurines, model cars, and one large castle (That I gave to my girlfriend then got dumped. But that's another story)
Plays & Musicals I have always like Shakespeare's plays as long as I could remember, and eventually I saw The Phantom of the Opera (in Toronto) and I was hooked on it (having seen it 9 times since).
Writing I don't do alot of this any more, but beleive it or not, a college course turned me on to creative writing in the form of Short Stories and Poetry. I had already known I liked and could do well with Argumentative Writing so this was a bit different for me.

On the more Technical side, I enjoy:
Computer Programming I've been programming since I was ten years old. I think I may have gotten better since then ;) and have leard a myriad of languages over the years (Pascal, C, Java, Perl, Visual Basic, Delphi, etc.) plus a few propriety languages. I've even written my own scripting language to go with my game : The Magic Gate.
The Magic Gate Online Game This is a project of mine that I've been working on since September of 1995. It is a BBS Door Game set in a medieval town. There are too many features to list here, but it does have its own web page ;). I've stopped working on this as of July 1998.
Computer Hardware I spent two years as a P.C. Technician and have built my own computers since 486's were new. I've got a story or two from those days that will probably make you cringe, but hey, I know my Hardware and Software!

These are the other misc. things I enjoy:
My New Car Well, this past April, I bought my dream car! A 1999 30th Anniversary Trans Am. White with the blue trim and blue/chrome wheels. I still drive my old clunker (yeah, that old '96 Trans Am), but this is my weekend and special occassion car. 6 months later and I'm about ready to store it for the winter with under 1000 miles. I had to renew the plate today, and finally got around to getting the custom plate. My original idea was taken (I knew this several months ago when I saw the plate on a car), but that's okay, I think '30 BIRD' is more unique anyway.
My Car I just bought my first new car in July, 1996. A Black Trans Am, T-Tops, 350 LT1 V-8, CD, Power Everything (not to mention an alarm to those of you who may be a bit deviant). I love it! I do miss my 1978 Trans Am, but some sacrifices just have to be made! Special pic of my car
Computer Games How can you not love these? Driving Games, Real Time Strategy and 1st Person Shooters! I'm currently active in a Tribes : Renegades clan known as The Royal Knights. Back in the old days, I belonged to the Bad Karma Clan for Quake and did all the modifications to our Bad Karma Server.
Role Playing Games Well, mostly just Champions these days. It feels good to go out once a month and save the world from Nuclear Meltdown. I attend U-Con in Ann Arbor every year and attended Gen-Con for the first time this year. Lotsa of undead walking around Milwaukee for a week-end and had a great time!
Kathy Ireland While technically still my favorite supermodel, she's just not as available these days. Her calendar always adorns my wall!
Spicy Foods Go ahead, put 100% Jabenero pepper sauce on those nachos. It would just mean more for me. Seriously, I love spicy foods. Buffalo Wings (Nuclear wings at Touchdown Cafe in Ann Arbor), Salad's with Tobasco sauce, Dave's Insanity sauce (That one almost brought a tear to my eye).
